Trailer Hitch

From: Doug Bell

I think I have found the perfect little sailboat for what I am after. My only concern is how easily the boat is launched/loaded on the trailer. I prefer the wing keel arrangement but realize it does require deeper watr to float the boat the boat off the trailer. Is this a problem ?? I think I read somewhere that some people make extensions for the tongue of their trailer to help with this. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Doug,

This is Terry from Tempe, AZ and I had a four foot extension for my receiver and launching is a breeze. Depending on the ramp I barely get my tires wet. Turning is not a problem either. You just have to make wider turns which my wife did not do the first time I let her drive the van back to the parking lot. I have a scratch on the trailer fender to prove it. Let me know if you would like a photo and I will send you one.

Best regards,

Terry
